Those Chicks on Speed have launched their second book, titled 'Chicks on Speed Don't Art, Fashion, Music'. The book is set in scenes as opposed to chapters and focuses on a collection of self-made "Objekt Instruments", which are beautiful art objects, each scene has a contribution from artists such as Stewart Home, Glenn Adamson and shoe designer Max Kibardin who has created the world's first high-heeled shoe guitar. Issue #6 of Vague Paper featured the work of artist Ian J. whitmore (above), now our Ian .J is making a new book project titled Onomasticon, its a 26-book series that explores the non-place in American landscapes.. now since this world seems to care so little about the artist and his book, there is no funding, so our Ian is looking for some fundraising to make it all possible. The Vague Paper team will be outside Sainsbury's in Eltham with our buckets and orange jackets, collecting some dosh for this amazing project and if you can't make it to Eltham, you can indeed make a donation online.

I know this is all a bit cliche doing the versus thingy, but you have to remember I was brought up in the nineties... i always favoured the lovely Suede not the orrible Blur bunch ... so the winner... totally Pop Magazine, its turned out to be a fantastic review of contemporary fashion and art since that chin lady left, whats er name Katie thingy. Any magazine who puts one of pop arts greatest stars on the front cover dressed as a bride is a winner, plus a ditty little fanzine inside by Cindy Sherman. My problem with Love its all about Miss Foots love affairs, aka the past and best left there.... Conde Nast do us all a favour and bleeding close it......

Dear fag hag gave me a copy of ES Magazine today, to accompany me to the loo and i'm sure you will all agree its usually a bit of a 'wipe ones ass' kinda magazine, but there was a slightly interesting story about the blogger versus the fashion editor, the editors all rather annoyed about the instant fame and gratitude those blogging teens get, our Paula at Grazia complaining about how she had to sit in second row behind twink blogger Tavi and was blocked by her rather large bow headgear, Gianluca Longo from ES Magazine stating that those bloggers have no knowledge about the history of fashion and Robert Johnson at GQ stating that the bloggers are easily corrupted by PR's for positive reviews....... and i was bit like does anyone not remember Isabella Blow, she blocked lots of views with her head stuff? The hateful applause of Gareth Pugh because all those bloody fashion directors couldn't get over their eighties clubbing days and the fact that most magazines are so corrupted by their advertisers that we are just reading one big advert? Eh, eh, nuff said? Well i do think that boy who does that Kate Mossy bloggy thing is rather cute, he's above, hot stud right?

Our mate Lily Vanilli the baker who makes cakes look like bleeding hearts is curating an exhibition at the Future Gallery, aptly titled 'Mad Artist Tea Party'. The show will feature Lily's fellow members at the Experimental Food Society, plus a host of artists: George Morten Clarke, Alexander Turvey, Stuart Semple and Pete Fowler. Vague paper is to be shown in an exhibition 'De Zines' that reflects what is happening in contemporary magazine design. Around 400 international publications have been gathered from the most established publications to more experimental. To coincide with the show, an exclusive book will be launched, featuring all of the publications on display.

As part of the Wise Words Festival in East London we have a photographic exhibition 'The Anachronistic Album' at the Photo Space, Commercial Road.

'The Anachronistic Album' closes on 27 March, we are holding an auction on the final day in aid of Ovarian Cancer research. Heather McDonough, one of the three photographers in the show, very recently sadly lost her mother to cancer. All the photographs were hand printed for the exhibition and will be auctioned off on Saturday 27th March at 4pm in aid of Ovarian Cancer Research.

All Lazy Gramophone Press books are the result of collaborations between a
pool of talented creatives, including authors, poets, illustrators, artists,
editors, typesetters, and designers. The Book of Apertures is such a
collaboration, and is the result of a project spanning two years, in which
fourteen writers and poets have worked closely with nine illustrators to
produce this collection of short stories, poems and artwork.

To mark the arrival of this new Lazy Gramophone Press publication, we would
like to invite you to X marks the Bökship / Donlon Books on Friday 19th
March, where a selection of Lazy Gramophone writers and artists will be
gathering for a special evening of spoken word.

Set against a small exhibition of the book?s artwork, the editor of The Book
of Apertures, Sam Rawlings, will be joined by some of the book?s writers:
